Will Astro A40 with M80 work with PS4?

Greetings,
I have the Astro A40 with the M80 mixamp for the xbox one. I was wondering, if I buy the just the Mixamp pro and the cables, will I be able to hook it up to my A40 headset and use it with the mixamp pro on my PS4?
Some say I can, but some say I cant...
