Why are there no firmware updates?

The firmware hasn't been updated in months. I and others have complained that turning the side tone all the way up causes you to be unable to mute the mic using the button on your cord. That was months ago, when that issue was reported and still no fix. I guess you put out the product, sell it, sweep the bugs under the rug, and then release a new product?
