Astro A50 Gen3 Poor Mic quality on PC

So I am coming from the Gen 1 A50s, which I love and the biggest reason I am replacing them is the non-user replaceable battery which currently only last 1.5 hrs. on battery. But I did like the docking station on the Gen 3 and didn't want to go thru the hassle of replacing the battery on my current headset so was happy to buy the newest version. But everyone is complaining about the way I sound now, and the problem seems clear (see below) . BTW, I have upgraded to the latest firmware.
