I just bought the mixamp tr for the playstation 4 a week ago. I was using the 700x from audio technica. However, the mic never worked. I tried everything and the mic I bought separate would not work. So, I caved and bought the Astro A40 TR headset that is supposed to go with the mixamp. Now, nothing works. I get absolutely no sound from my headset at all. I tried testing my mic.
