Mixamp TR [XB1]

I've been looking at purchasing a Mixamp Pro TR for the purpose of playing games and being able to play music through the same headset. Although I don't intend on using an Astro headset.

I have a Microsoft Xbox One Stereo Headset which works fine and I don't have the need for another headset. It has a 3.5mm jack.

I guess I've got 2 questions

- Is it possible to use the the mixamp to play game sound and music from an aux cord into a single headset?
