Astro A50 Gen 3 VR chat volume

Hi,
I used to use the astro a40 with my playstation vr and was able to use the chat cable and plug it into the connector on the PS VR cable, so i had full control still over volume mixer between game and chat. The a50 does not have this because it's USB, and plugging the cable in from the base station to the vr headset does not work, the ps4 setting is in all all audio which is default with the in ear 3d earphones that come with VR.

The problem is that in party chat, the chat volume totally...

the right ear of my astro a40 tr's keeps cutting out when my head is tilting, not sure if this is a wiring issue or faulty wires, have only owned the headset for 2 months.

instead of using an optical cable, can you plug the mixamp into the headset output on the controller and then plug headset into the mixamp?

So I just moved after having lots of problems with the A50 gen 3 disconnected very frequently. We had 3 Wifi networks running on 5Mhz frequencies so I figured that was what was causing the DC's. Now however, only the game channel will freeze. Disabling and re-enabling it in Playback Devices fixes the problem, but I can sometimes hear some things get pushed through right at the very end, like as I re-enable it I will hear the Discord join or leave sound if it had happened while it was DC'ed. Hello, I have an Astro a50 wireless headset. When using Discord everything seems to be working fine when talking to my friends. However, after about a minute-2 minutes of silence my mic stops working on discord. I have all the audio settings implemented correctly. This is beyond stressful because in most of the games I am playing I am in some sort of leadership role needing to make call outs constantly. Its very frustrating and any help is surely welcomed. Looking For A New Headset, Please Help!!!

Ok, this post is going to be kind of long so please bear with me.

I'm looking for a new Astro Headset since the regular Astro A40s Gen 2, and the Mixamp Gen 2 aren't supported anymore. I currently have a pair of the A40s & a Mixamp Pro (both Gen 2). The way I have them hooked up is:
  • Mixamp's USB cable plugged into my PC.
  • Mixamp's Optical cable plugged into my Xbox One
  • Headset's In-Line Mute cable plugged into the Headset port on my Mixamp.
  • 2.5mm to 3.5mm chat cable going...

By far the largest waste of money I have spent to date. I will never buy another Astro nor suggest them. Not 1 product. Have had these A50 and since day 1 have had constant crackle, despite changing channels for FUCKING EVERYTHING in my house. Have had constant issues with mic dropping from OW, Discord among few despite following all guides, updating drivers, changing USB ports, praising the fucking sun and sacrificing small animals. Astro A50 gen 3 will die even though not in use

I have the gen 3 astro a50 for playstation and PC l, but I have a problem. The battery keeps draining even when not in use. I will fully charged my headset say the night before, sometimes I don't play for a couple of days, when I finally do decide to play, I turn it on and the battery is completely DEAD. Anybody else experiencing this problem?

A50 Gen 3 audio dropouts ...

I am now on my 3rd set of Gen 3 A50s.

The first two had bad reverb. This latest set has much better, rounded sound.

However, I'm now experiencing audio dropouts (the battery bars & Dolby light blink off then on, on the Base Station). Also, a tiny bit of interference (experienced a crackle, a couple of times). The returned headsets never cut out. Not once.

My Sky router is 2.4ghz. I also scanned the routers in my vicinity and NONE of them operate on the 5ghz frequency. This gives me cause for...

Chat volume problem (A40 TR + MixAmp Pro + PS4 Pro)

Hi!

I’m pretty much satisfied with sound and build quality of A40s but during the game I can barely hear my teammates. Tried to mute the game and just leave chat voice didn’t help. Checked all the obvious stuff like console mode, how cables are plugged, chat only settings, etc. no use. Switching to Sony Gold headset and chat voice is good. Is there any solution to manage chat/game volume? I can’t believe Tournament Ready headsets can have problem with chat.
