Astro A40 won't connect to New XB1 controller

As the title says.
They are 2015 only had them from new for 6 months though. they worked no problem with any controller before. i bought new white controller and they didn't connect ie. no light came on. so i've changed the controller and still have same problem. they still work with old controller though.

any ideas?

Astro sound leaking

so i have an astro a40 tr and a mixamp pro tr but i have to use my mobile cable to connect the headset to the mixamp because i dont have an inline tr mute cable.. could that be the reason why my astro is leaking too much sound or is it the headset that is just like this. it is a problem for me cause my friends can hear for example when i listen to loud music and my mic picks up the sound which comes from the headset.

Astro A50 Gen3 WIFI

My Astro A50 base station is giving me a signal on WIFI called "AstroHS-ST" what is it? What can I do with it? And how do I know the security password for it?, also can I use the headsets for anything other than a PC/console? And the base station doesn't power on unless it's plugged into a PC, I mean a power source doesn't do the job, it needs an actual active PC. is that normal? I thought if I could power the base station I could use the headsets for anything through the auxiliary cord.

So when I am playing a game like Call of Duty I prefer to mute my teammates in clutch situations to hear the game audio only. Is there a way to do this with my astro a50s quickly or perhaps a preset setting that can accomplish this? Any advice would be appreciated.

So I just moved after having lots of problems with the A50 gen 3 disconnected very frequently. We had 3 Wifi networks running on 5Mhz frequencies so I figured that was what was causing the DC's. Now however, only the game channel will freeze. Disabling and re-enabling it in Playback Devices fixes the problem, but I can sometimes hear some things get pushed through right at the very end, like as I re-enable it I will hear the Discord join or leave sound if it had happened while it was DC'ed. Hello, I have an Astro a50 wireless headset. When using Discord everything seems to be working fine when talking to my friends. However, after about a minute-2 minutes of silence my mic stops working on discord. I have all the audio settings implemented correctly. This is beyond stressful because in most of the games I am playing I am in some sort of leadership role needing to make call outs constantly. Its very frustrating and any help is surely welcomed. Ok, this post is going to be kind of long so please bear with me.

I'm looking for a new Astro Headset since the regular Astro A40s Gen 2, and the Mixamp Gen 2 aren't supported anymore. I currently have a pair of the A40s & a Mixamp Pro (both Gen 2). The way I have them hooked up is:
  • Mixamp's USB cable plugged into my PC.
  • Mixamp's Optical cable plugged into my Xbox One
  • Headset's In-Line Mute cable plugged into the Headset port on my Mixamp.
  • 2.5mm to 3.5mm chat cable going...

I've recently just bought the A50 Wireless Headset for the PS4/PC (with Charging Dock) and I attempted to update the firmware on the ACC. However, when doing so I was given an error and redirected back to the main screen of the ACC. I have the loading dock connected to the PC with the USB cord; have the switch specifically set to PC.

I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem. In the mic output setting it's fine when it's fliped up and muted, but when it's down ready to use there is a unbearable distorted static scream rendering the mic useless. I've done a hard reset. I've updated the firmware. I've checked the cables. I've adjusted the mic in command center. I've ran the battery down and reset again. Cant download the firmware update v5037 for my astro a50 gen 1s as it always says no device connected. The mic can sync and connect to the mixamp and output or input sound. I have been trying all yesterday and today and cant find the solution. The orange light also isnt showing up when i charge but its not the wires as i have 3 different usb to micro usb, all of which work to update my mixamp, but no combination works for the headset. Have tried completely draining the battery and that didnt...

Astro A50 Gen 3 VR chat volume

Hi,
I used to use the astro a40 with my playstation vr and was able to use the chat cable and plug it into the connector on the PS VR cable, so i had full control still over volume mixer between game and chat. The a50 does not have this because it's USB, and plugging the cable in from the base station to the vr headset does not work, the ps4 setting is in all all audio which is default with the in ear 3d earphones that come with VR.

The problem is that in party chat, the chat volume totally...

A50's overriding soundbar on PS4

I have my sound bar plugged in via optical from PS4 to TV directly, and my Astro A50 optical plugged from optical out into my base station. Yet, whenever I turn off my headset, the sound doesn't automatically switch back over to the soundbar; it stays on the headset even when theres no sound being transmitted. Am I doing something wrong?

Mixamp 2011 Uncharted 4

So here`s the thing, I am using my HyperX Cloud headset (2 channel stereo headset), it's connected to my Astro mixamp (2011 version) and the mixamp goes to the PS4 console via optical cable + mini usb cable.
5.1 Virtual surround enabled. All PS4 settings set like Astro said in their tutorial.

In Uncharted 4 audio output settings, the default (automatic) settings I get with my setup are these :
Device : Auto (Home Theater)
Channels : Auto (5.1ch)

Are these settings correct or I should...

I have a pair of Astro a50 and have been using them with a PS4 and they are great. Now I just purchased a Pc and I am looking to have the A50's connected to both the PS4 and Pc at the same time with the mic working for both. Is that possible? I've looked around for a USB switch but there are none that power the USB and split it 2 ways. Is there any USB switch like that out there or is there any way to do this connection usin the Pc?

I have been having g a problem with my Astro A50 gen 3 staying connected. I have to manually switch from pc to Xbox in order for them to show up as an accessory every couple of days. I have updated it and it still does this. Has any one else experienced this? I am considering selling them and just getting something else.
